We had a lovely stay at Belcastro Cabin. The cabin was well kept and had EVERYTHING we needed. The circular fireplace was amazing. The listing was accurate in terms of the location, layout and amenities. I would highly recommend the property to others.

Cute and cozy and well outfitted.
We enjoyed our time in the Belcastro Family Cabin.
Felt like home away from home. Well thought out operation for quick stay, and I imagine great for longer stay. We are looking forward to trying it in the summer for a lengthier stay. We had tons of snow and everything was simple and easy including the plowing.

We really enjoyed our stay at the 'cabin', if you can call it that. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space for 5 of us to come together and be apart. The place felt like it was well cared for based on various touches all around the place. We really enjoyed it and look forward to visiting again soon. One minor note: I would think twice about taking my parents there since they're not very good with climbing stairs.
The property management folks were very responsive and made the whole experience very comfortable and easy for us.

Great location, just minutes away from Soda Spring Mountain Resort. The lake community is tranquil and safe.
The house is clean with sufficient amenities. Sue is very kind & responsive. We'd recommend this place.

I have been renting Belcastro Cabin around New Year's Eve for close to ten years. Regardless of how much snow the winter brings, staying at Belcastro has become a tradition for my family and friends. The cabin is very well appointed and suitable for families with kids. It is an older home, but has everything necessary, down to a variety of pots and pans for cooking delicious meals, which is a big part of our routine. The cabin is lovingly maintained and always clean. This winter we had a problem with the water heater, but this was taken care of immediately by the excellent staff of Castle Peak Realty. There is a lot to be done around the cabin: walks around Serene Lakes, hiking in the hills above, skiing when there is snow, sledding. The New Year's eve fireworks show on the ice is unbeatable - a noisy, joyful assembly of people and dogs enjoying the wonderful colors and shapes of real stars and masterful fireworks in the dark sky. It is a great end to a day to sit around Belcastro's unique round fireplace with a book, feeding piece by piece firewood off the always plentiful supply. The first floor library contains some good books, if you happen to forget your favorites. I suppose summers at the cabin would be as good, with the lakes available for water sports. I will certainly consider continuing winter rentals at Belcastro, with adding stays during summer, and so should anyone who looks at the Castle Peak Rentals' listings.
This is one of 4 homes we rented for our family reunion this summer. We had three couples and 2 children in this house, and it worked great. Beds were comfortable.
The home stayed cool because of the trees all around it.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
HOLIDAY PERIODS ARE: Thanksgiving, Christmas week, New Year's week, Martin Luther King Jr. weekend, President's weekend, Ski/Skate week in February, 4th of July, and Labor Day. All of these dates are subject to required minimum night stays and specific check in days and times. Please check with our office before booking.
Reservations: Non-refundable booking fee of $300 required upon booking reservation.
Payment: Castle Peak must receive full payment of the rent due 30 days prior to scheduled arrival. Reservations made less than 30 days in advance of scheduled arrival require full payment upon booking. A $500 security deposit is required with each booking or you can purchase CSA Damage Insurance for $30/stay.
Keys: Each unit has a lock box w/key. Before arrival you will be given the combination. There is a charge of $25 for each lost key.
Cancellation Policy: Notice of cancellation must be received 30 days prior to arrival, or you will forfeit all rental sums paid (not including security deposit). If cancellation is made within 30 days of arrival and we can re-rent the unit only the $300 non refundable booking fee will be retained. There is no exception for cancellations due to weather and/or road condtions, ask about our CSA Travel Insurance.
Restrictions: All units are NO SMOKING/NO PET units unless noted otherwise. All units have restrictive telephones, toll calls and long distance calls need a credit card. All rentals are limited to families or responsible groups of adults 21 years of age or older.
Check In/Check Out: Check in time is 4:00 pm and check out time is 11:00 am. Late check out time may be prearranged depending on next arrival for a slight fee.
