A very affordable home located close to both winter and summer sports. Definitely the cabin for a lot of cooks with its very large kitchen area. Has a large upstairs room for the kids to play.

Loved the big windows everywhere. Very well-stocked kitchen.
Just stayed over a weekend in August 2018. Played golf at Coyote Moon. Highly recommend the course. Very pleasant walking the neighborhood. Quiet and serene.
We've stayed at Yuba Cabin three or four times over the last few years. Great value. It's perfect for us as we do both cross country (at Royal Gorge) and downhill (Sugar Bowl), and proximity to the neighborhood sledding hill is a big plus (we always stay there with another family). Kitchen layout is conducive to collaborative cooking -- roomy with lots of counter space. Really appreciate the wood burning stove, and the big upstairs area where the kids can just lay out the mattress pads wherever (better than a loft - you don't have to worry about waking anyone up if you're up early/late downstairs). If it had a garage it would be the bomb, but expect it would cost more too.
We enjoyed the Yuba Family Cabin, it is centrally located to the PCT, Serene Lakes and Truckee. The home is very roomy and well equipped. Would definitely recommend it to friends & family!

very comfy and cozy
the home is a lot larger then it appears online, very clean, and cozy. I definitely recommend this home for anyone looking for a quite get away in Serene Lakes.

We really enjoyed the house. It satisfied all our needs. Special thanks for the firewood we used, the stove was very nice to have. We allready tried to reserve it again in the middle of this month (January) but is not available on our dates. But we will definetly rent it again and tell to friends about it.

Perfectly nice ski cabin
This is a perfectly nice, clean cabin with a great deal to recommend it: Attentive property managers who couldn't be nicer; a wonderfully equipped large kitchen; comfortable seating and cozy bedrooms; and an amazing video and game library. It was large for our family of five--and we really appreciated the home's amenities. Only issue for us was that we needed to build a fire to keep the house warm enough and we had a hard time getting the right kindling/logs/paper at the ready. We could not see outside because the snow level was higher than the windows, so the house was particularly dark and chilly. This is an atypical year--and we would not expect this to be a problem in the future and would rent it again. It's close to Sugar Bowl and really cozy when the fire is going!

Great winter cabin
Well setup for kids. We played in the snow by the lodge with our young kids, had a great time and didn't have to go far. Will consider renting again.

My family and I had a great weekend staying at the cabin and skiing at Sugar
Bowl. The cabin was comfortable, with a well equipped kitchen, and comfortable beds. Owner and property manager left detailed instructions for everything, including getting fire started. Would definitely stay here again!

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
HOLIDAY PERIODS ARE: Thanksgiving, Christmas week, New Year's week, Martin Luther King Jr. weekend, President's weekend, Ski/Skate week in February, 4th of July, and Labor Day. All of these dates are subject to required minimum night stays and specific check in days and times. Please check with our office before booking.
Reservations: Non-refundable booking fee of $300 required upon booking reservation.
Payment: Castle Peak must receive full payment of the rent due 30 days prior to scheduled arrival. Reservations made less than 30 days in advance of scheduled arrival require full payment upon booking. A $500 security deposit is required with each booking or you can purchase CSA Damage Insurance for $30/stay.
Keys: Each unit has a lock box w/key. Before arrival you will be given the combination. There is a charge of $25 for each lost key.
Cancellation Policy: Notice of cancellation must be received 30 days prior to arrival, or you will forfeit all rental sums paid (not including security deposit). If cancellation is made within 30 days of arrival and we can re-rent the unit only the $300 non refundable booking fee will be retained. There is no exception for cancellations due to weather and/or road condtions, ask about our CSA Travel Insurance.
Restrictions: All units are NO SMOKING/NO PET units unless noted otherwise. All units have restrictive telephones, toll calls and long distance calls need a credit card. All rentals are limited to families or responsible groups of adults 21 years of age or older.
Check In/Check Out: Check in time is 4:00 pm and check out time is 11:00 am. Late check out time may be prearranged depending on next arrival for a slight fee.
